Simoldes Aços, SA was
founded in 1959 aiming the construction of
moulds for the plastic industry. At that time
the main sectors were Houseware and Toys for
the Portuguese market.
Nowadays Simoldes Aços, SA can build moulds
up to 25 tons, has 210 people with a turnover
of nearly 18 million euros resulting mainly
from the automotive sector and exporting moulds
to France, Germany, Spain, England, Scandinavia,
Turkey, China and Iran.
The acumulated know-how in several moulding
technologies like 2K Injection, Gas-Assisted
Injection, Hybrid Injection and Low Pressure
Injection over Fabrics as well as the quality
of the mould, has contributed to its leadership
in the European mould making industry.
